Do You Get Bored?
I could not cope with staying home with the children and not working. I work full-time from home and find that it is the only thing that keeps me sane! How do people manage who do not have jobs?

Sometimes you have to be away from your kids in order to spend quality time with them, which is why I understand how your job keeps you sane.

I stay at home since I do my work on the computer, but none of my kids live with me so basically I am either alone in my house or I am alone with my husband.
My daughter (oldest child) lives with my mother, I see her everyday though because I go to my mother's place everyday and I spend as much time as I can with her.
My son (second child) lives with my husband's parents. My husband is always at his parents' house but I rarely go there, only if there is an occasion because I don't really get along with flying colors with his folks.

I support both of my children financially, and do my best all the time to make up for living under a different roof as them.
Do I get bored? A lot of times, but it is only due to being alone too much.

I never get bored, but then I always have a project on the go. If I am at a loss for something to do, I take the children out somewhere or do something with them. But there is always tidying up or my business work to keep me occupied.

You have to understand that stay at home parents have a million things to do when taking care of young children. It seems as if your day never ends to be honest with you. With all the errands you have to do and responsibilities that is your full time job. I don't think that you have time to go insane, you're too busy.

I understand getting bored. Sometimes an adult needs some adult conversation and being with other adults during the day. There's nothing wrong with that.

Some of us enjoy being with their kids all day and all the work that goes with it but others of us need to have time for ourselves without the kids. If you can find a good baby-sitter then working full time is great. You're with adults and then when you get home you're ready to give your full attention to the kids.

I didn't have time to get bored when I stayed home raising my kids. There were always something to be washed, cleaned , cooked , ironed ,dressed, undressed ...don't want to remember that time anymore.

I remember, however, during my first child, I stayed at home everyday to watch her and take care of her, and yes I do recall getting bored sometimes, but most of the time I was tired rather than bored. There'd be times when my daughter would refuse to sleep and me on the other hand was already very sleepy, but I would have to keep awake in order to put her to sleep, and those were the days that I was just always tired during entire consecutive days.
So I was basically more tired, than bored.
