Favorite Baby Names and Meanings
I've looked around and noticed that we did not have a thread specifically dedicated to baby names and their meanings, and being the pregnant woman that I am right now, I find that unacceptable and had to do something about it.

I am pretty sure that I am not the only pregnant woman around here so I suppose there are others who will be needing this thread as well, since after all, we will be searching for a baby boy or girl name one time or another.

So, in order to help us find the perfect name for our future baby, won't everyone come gather around and leave us with suggestions? It's oftentimes very hard for an expecting mother to think of one worthy name, and so we will probably need all the help we can get.

What are your favorite names and if you could, please provide the meanings of these names? Of course, only post your favorite names, otherwise we would have no quality control if you just went on and mentioned every single name you've heard in your life whether you liked it or not, and it would ruin the purpose of this thread.

Please also try to specify the gender of which the name is best suited for.

Choosing the right name for my newborn was one of the most important and heavy decision I made.
I was aware that there is a strange connection between a specific name and personality and that's why I felt like a huge responsibility giving a name to my baby.
For my daughter I chose a name of a local princess hundred years ago and when she grew old enough to understand I told her the princess' story . I noticed that now she has like an aristocratic air and I'm thinking that must have had an influence on her personality knowing she was wearing the name of that princess.
