eating right for two?
So I just found out that I am pregnant again (yay!). Last time I was pregnant I just ate what ever I felt like and gained a fair bit of weight too. I know that the recommendation is to up you calorie intake with 300 calories when you are pregnant. My problem is that I am ALWAYS hungry.

Any suggestion about good, healthy and filling food I can eat so I do not starve and do not gain to much weight?

Well first of all congratulations to you, MrsH! What an exciting time for you! I guess the first bit of advice I'd say is to make sure all the calories you eat are good nutrition (much protein) and that will probably help to keep you feeling more full and satisfied without wanting to overeat.

Okay... like 250 calories in a big bowl of oatmeal is going to go a lot further than a 250 calorie candy bar like *I* had for breakfast this morning. Empty calories are always bad for us, but I'd think it's extra important during a pregnancy.

yeah I agree - Candy bars do taste much better then healthier options. I will try to keep in mind adding more protein, and I also think I need to drink more water - I suspect some of this 'hunger; is really me being thirsty.

Congratulations. I would have to say I agree with all of the above but would like to add having more little meals throughout the day was one thing that helped me a lot.

Congratulations! I found that 'heavy' food like potatoes and pasta would fill me up. However, be warned that the dressings and sauces that we use on these foods soon build up the calories if you're not careful.

Congrats!
When I was pregnant I found that many small meals worked great for me. I made sure to keep on an exercise program. Check with your Dr first to make sure it is ok. And, yes plenty of water. Drink more than before you became pregnant.

Stick to eating healtheir foods but more or less try to stick with fruit and vegetables. Maybe a little bit of grain and dairy products.

I tende dto just eat a healthy balanced diet - i.e. I made sure I ate at least 5 portions of fruit and veg a day ad a nice variety. I had eggs or a vegetarian meat replacement once a day - to keep up my protein and iron. I didn't cut down on my food but did not eat any extra to normal. I was already overweight and so I ate too much as it was and didn't need the extra 300 calories.

I felt sick a lot so I didn't want to eat much, but once I was eating the sick feeling went away. I therefore sucked sweets (made from fruit only) to get rid of the sick feeling without putting on weight.

If you have a blender ( if you don't ,buy one !) you can try to make a ****tail from fruits and milk or water , not only it will add a lot of vitamins to your diet by take away for a while that "I'm hungry, need to eat" sensation .

Congratulations, I am really happy for you. When I was pregnant, I didn;t focus on eating for two, I just had a nice balanced diet.
