It is important to try not to eat for two. My Mum warned me about it when I got pregnant with my twins. I was a twin and she said she ate for 10 and has been struggling with her weight ever since and she also had pre eclampsia and has had high blood pressure ever since too.

Well, this is definitely something I doubt I would be able to give you some sound advice with. I am pregnant as well and I eat everything that comes my way, because like you, I am always hungry as well. I don't control my food intake (even though I have been told to more than a hundred times), and I always seem to crave for those really bad kind of food, like chocolates, ice cream and the likes.

But I always tell myself "just lose the weight after the pregnancy". I don't know if I can do it, but what I know is that while I'm pregnant, there's no saying "no" to food.

I guess as long as you are confident you can lose the weight then it shouldn't hurt! I put on a lot during my fertility treatment and was overweight for 6 months after giving birth. I was so tired (with low iron levels and twins who didn't like sleeping at night) that I just had to eat to keep my energy levels up.

Well actually I'm not confident that I'm going to lose the weight at all, it's just that I've come to terms with the fact that I just can't not over-eat at this time. I have tried before to control my food intake but it never lasts longer than 2 seconds, and I really know that I could never do it no matter how much I try so I've just given myself the freedom to eat when I want to.

I know it's bad but it's only a month away now (my due date) so I doubt if I start controlling my eating habits now it would do much of a difference anyway.

Like your mother I eat for ten, and my family also has a history of women experiencing pre-eclampsia... And I am starting to get scared now that I think about it.

Whooo, I'm pregnant and I have been tryig to eat healthy forever. I'm 6 months now and it's hard because I crave so much and most of the time, I crave sweet things. I have gained 35 pounds since the beginning of my pregnancy which is something that I want to do but I want to try to tone it down and eat healthier. I heard that fruits, peanuts and veggies are good. Alot of protein which you can get from meat is also good as well.

^ You know, I just recently found out from this forum that peanuts are a no-no during pregnancy because it could make your child be allergic to all sorts of things when she / he comes out. I was surprised about not knowing about this sooner, but it seemed like I was the only one who didn't know about it.
