I know what you mean. In a way I feel that at least if the school fails them I have someone to blame. I also have a choice of moving them to a different class or a different school if I do not like the way things are going but if I opt for home schooling I think it will be much more difficult to accept defeat and send them to mainstream school.

^ That's exactly right. I also feel as though since schools are made to do just exactly what they are doing, and that since this is their job, that they must be more qualified to dabble in this area than I am. So I would definitely feel safer and more at peace knowing that my child's education is being taken care of by professionals.

Of course, follow-ups will be constant at home, done by me, and I can tutor my kids, but I cannot go beyond that.
