Media Effect
Dont you think that chidlren today are growing lot faster than children used to grew up in older days . Watching more TV and effect of Internet has made small children's thinking capacity increase very quickly. Today even a 4-5 year old kid talk about sex openly.

well I don't know of 4 and 5 year olds but yes I do agree that society has made children grow up a lot faster then they should need to.

i have read a lot about this..

there are a lot of boys and girls in their pre teens experiencing premature puberty because of such media effects..

these are really not good for the boys and girls and should be shunned...so many lewd serials nowadays..just cant imagine all the modesty..

I'm not sure if it has really grown their brain capacity, but most of the kids have become a lot more cheeky and disrespectful.

Media has a profound effect on children. No matter how much you try to shelter them there is no way you can protect them entirely from being exposed to things you were not exposed to at their age. If nothing else their peers will be exposed and much of what they learn is through their peers. Your role is to explain to them the best you can about the difficult issues they will face.

Yes, ofcourse, media are playing a vital role in kids behaviors these days. in our time we used to feel shy to talk about sex and about other things but these days they are well known. and i think its not that bad too. its good if the children take them positively.

media plays a big part of kids growing up too fast, and I think it's worse for girls. While there are plenty of age-appropriate role models out there, the media tends to focus on the girls that party, drink, wear revealing clothing ,etc. And those are the images that our children see and think are appropriate.

I too believe that media has a great impact on our children today. Bad language and calling names are some things I've experienced with my 3-year-old daughter. I think we should not let our children spend so much time watching tv nowadays.

I have always limited my daughter's time watching TV. But my parents didn't when they had custody & now she's a terror some days. We are slowly getting things back to normal but its been a bit of a struggle.
