watch any movie with your kids
I have been concerned about my kids watching movies that have unwanted material be it adult situations or profanity or gore. So I did some searching and found a dvd player that filters movies. This was the only one that survived copyright infringement lawsuit of hollywood. I bought the dvd player. For the movies I have at home (which I was hiding from my kids so far ) I downloaded filters from their website. This was as easy as searching for the movie and hitting download to the memory stick. Then I put the memory stick into the dvd player, copied it over. Then played the movie. The storyline was completely unaffected. It just muted bad words and skipped over bad scenes. My son and I had a great time watching Terminator 2 without unwanted stuff.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to all parents that are like me. Here is the

Great idea there is far to much violence in there everyday life. They sure do not need to see it on tv.

wow that sounds great. How exactly does it work? Do the part you download sort of 'tell' the dvd player which parts to skip? I think i need to do a search for this and try it out myself.

We did not as a rule watch gory pictures anyway, so our kids were not ever exposed to them. We watched movies we would rather our kids didn't watch after they went to bed. By the time they hit their teens and stayed up later, they generally watched everything we did, but with the important distinction that we watched them together. That way we were able to answer any questions they had, or we could discuss whatever they wanted. The only things we censored were gory, hateful movies, rape, and sexual abuse. Watching movies in this way gave us a natural platform for conversation with our kids.

If the cleaner is cleaning the bad material in the movie, it is good. But I have one more point in my mind; it will filter the adult scenes but what about the scenes containing violence? Will it filter that stuff as well?

That sounds like a great idea. At the moment my children have toddlers and therefore we only watch cartoons and such like. I am concerned that once they start liking a wider range of TV that they will watch inappropriate things.

That is an interesting idea. My children are teenagers now and it is impossible to protect them from aspects of life that are portrayed in movies. When they were younger I was the censor, they watched any new video with me or another family member, that way we could discuss aspects such as violence or bad language if it turned up unexpectedly. I think this has helped them to learn standards and to have a strong sense of what is acceptable. I can see that your DVD player has a place but it is no substitute for parental influence and example.

i never bothered
when my daughter was 4 she had to go to sleep to freddy kruger.
She was fine with that. As she got older she satyed with teh horror movies and laugh about it.
I guess its waht you get used to. I never shielded her from anything. She watches the news and does cosplay and FX, graduated from highschool at 15 with a 3.25 GPA.

I think if parents create a sirtuation of off limits to certain things then it will craete a sneaky attitude later. LIke wjhat are they keeping from me, and oh this is exciting.

Little ones are resiliant, especially if you watch with them and explain what is happening and its ***e.

Of coursemy daughter when she was tiny loved musicals, freddy, chucky, and a few other movies that always played.
I was always with her.. and it never affected her. I also think alot of arents are more bothered by whats on the screen and often the excuses of parental controls is used to block what offends them.

I think that this product sound pretty neat. I personally just stick to the kids movies for the boys and the ones I don't want them to see we watch later.
