Like tater03, I have my kids watch their kiddie movies first and until they don't want to watch any more TV, then I take the remote and watch the movies I like to watch.
My daughter is always watching cartoons, and she knows I like to watch talk shows like Oprah and Tyra, these shows bore her so she doesn't watch them with me.
