Baby Books
Did you guys have any "Baby Owners Manuels" that you swore by? My very favorite was The Everything Babys First Year Book by Tekla Nee. I had What To Expect The First Year, but got really sick of the answer to evey question being "It could be nothing or it could mean certain death, so ask your doctor." That's not an answer. "Everything" had all kinds of useful, practical advice and tips and tricks which really make life as a new parent easier. I would highly recommend it for any new parent.

Yes, we can get lots of baby guide books but what i prefer is use to your own experience of whole life. i think our experience will be the best for any children's growth.

not to forget that, you can take help from baby guide books too.

I never have read a baby "manual", and I don't plan to. They're all the same and there's no better book on raising YOUR child than the one you write yourself.

I think that books can help new parents providing tips and tricks to parenting. It cannot hurt to read some but I agree in the end trusting your own instincts as a mother is really the best thing.

I had books, yes, but there wasn't a particular book that I used above all others. I always looked at all of them to make sure they were saying the same thing. Scary thing was that often they *didn't* give the same advice and sometimes it was polar opposite advice.

I had what to expect when you are expecting, and I used it like every single day, over and over again, I also got what to expect in the first year but I was so busy taking care of the baby I didn't get to read as much.

baby books
I never used a baby book. I just took it a day at a time and followed my instincts.

I had the "What to expect the first year" book. I looked at it sometimes with my first and then never with the second and third. As my mom always says "follow your instincts".
