I am just moving into week 11. We went for our check up last week and baby is doing very well. I can't believe how much it's changed - it actually looks like a baby now. It has grown from +-9mm to 4.1cm's already, and the heart beat is now sitting at 174 bpm (I guess because of all the activity going on).
Next week Thursday is our big 12 week check up where they visit the fold of the baby's neck.

It's been ages since I've been on to post. I'm so tired I'm in bed by 9 almost every night...I'm even skipping my favourite programs in favour of sleep.
On 13 March we went for our first check up. It was amazing - the doctor did an ultrasound, and despite the fact that I was only around 6 weeks at the time we heard the heartbeat. We got everything on DVD and will continue to update it with every ultrasound. The doctor was very happy with everything, baby's heart is racing at 132...

I wanted to wait until I had officially missed my period before going for the blood test, and since I've been sick I had an extra excuse to go to the doctor.
I got to the rooms early, which was fortunate cos the doctor got to see me +-20 mins earlier than what I had booked for. I was SO nervous I was somewhere between bouncing off the walls and shaking. Turns out I have pharyngitis and a stomach bug (lucky me) and the doc put me on antibiotics which are apparently now safe in pregnancy...

So, a week after my bday we left for our holiday in cape town. We just arrived back yesterday so this is my quick update before I have to start back at work tomorrow (SO not in the mood!).
We had a fantastic time, kept really busy & still managed to catch up on lots of sleep. We took the cable car up Table Mountain, went sailing on a catamaran, went to the aquarium, went to cape point, went for a boat ride to seal island by Hout Bay and we saw Robben Island. We also got to go...

The day before my bday I went to see the gynae for a check up. He said that all is good and healthy & he also saw that there was a pending ovulation. I was SO excited when I heard that
Had a fantastic bday, nice & relaxed with the family over, but I think more importantly I was just too excited at the thought that this could be the time I fall pregnant.
