What's your favourite?

What is your favourite activity to engage in when you're not being mommy or daddy? When the kids are asleep or are at school, what do you do to feed your needs?

Reading is my favorite past time. I could read anything and everything. Sadly I don't get to read as much as I would like to now.

I enjoy sleeping also but I feel that if I don't that when I get time alone that I am wasting my time alone. I know that is really not the case because if I didn't need the sleep I wouldn't fall asleep but that is just how I feel when I do.

Tater, I know exactly what you mean about sleeping! This may sound very sad but my idea of luxury is a long hot bath with no phone ringing and nobody banging on the door demanding my attention.

I love to be in the house on my own, just doing my own thing, knowing that for a couple of hours nobody will bother me.

It would be total luxury to be able to mute the phone ringer, just to not have it shrilling every few minutes. Of course, you can't do that because your kids aren't home, and they might have a problem. Then, once they come home you can turn off the ringer, but you've got a house full of kids and all their lovely noise and energy.

S****booking is really popular these days, and I have seen some lovely examples. I might have to look into trying it one of these days.

I know just what you mean, time that was not ruled by the phone would be a real luxury. I long for the days when handsets were fixed to the phone, my teenagers wander off with the handsets so when it rings I have to race around the house searching from a handset!
