Teachers suggesting to parents to give to a child medicine and expecting to listen to them ? Who in the world they think they are ?!
Only a Psychiatrist has the right to prescribe ritalin and only after the child is diagnosed with ADHD disorder . Not every distrait and disruptive child is necessary suffering from ADHD , if the child has that behavior only in school and not at home or in other circumstances , he definitely in not sick and should not be put under any medication .Much less by a teacher !

A suggestion isn't writing the prescription, isn't taking the place of a doctor's evaluation, and isn't out of line.

It is an option and won't be a requirement until the child ends up in juvenile hall because his ADHD went untreated and his impulsive behavior harms someone.

Medical doctors are always upset with pharmacists or registered nurses that "suggest" patients taking some medicine or other (although they do have some medical training ) and they are perfectly right , I can;t imagine what would think hearing about a teacher "suggesting" medicine for brain .
The problem with a teacher suggesting medicine is that he may address to less educated people who might think they should listen to them and by doing this they 'll harm their own child .
