children and grandparents
I think grandparents also behaves childish when they grow old and behaves like a kid with their own grandchildren. i have the same situation in my family. my children are always affectionate by their grandparents.

is this same happening in your family?

In my family didn't happen and I surely regret that . Neither my mother nor mother-in -law helped me to raise up my kids ,much less had they enough patience to play with them. They would all the time be worrying about their tranquility and making a point that they do not want to be disturbed .
However , I did see grandparents that were nice and playful with their grandchildren and would love to have them around .

I am affraid that we actually live in a different country from my parents and other extended family, and we see them sometimes once a year. It is such a shame really for both parties, because children need other adults to interact with at a young age, and lots of familiar loving faces, and mums sometimes need a break. Grandparent just make the best baby sitters!

I find that my mother loves having her grandchildren around. My father does not likes babies and young children much but prefers them when he can have a conversation with them and play games with them

My in-laws hate babies and dislike children and although they seem to like seeing my children, they are not that keen. They do not play with them that much or anything.

My daughter is very close with my mother but my mom is not exactly the very affectionate type. She just acts like a normal mother does, nothing childish or anything.

It could be because she's not really that old like most grandparents are in the first place and probably hasn't grown any of those characteristics just quite yet.
