Is anyone here a foster parent? I am considering applying to become a foster parent in the next year or so.

I am not, but ti is something that I have been thinking a great deal about lately. I know in our area they need foster parents very badly. I am hoping one day I will be able to open my home to children who need it.

It is the same here that they really are in need of good quality foster homes.

I have thought about hard, even to the extent of figuring out how I would have to schedule myself to cater to them. You have to be prepared for it though because it can really take a toll on you otherwise.

This is defiently something I am considering. At the moment we are renting our home so I want to own our own place first and be a bit more financial stable before we talk about this a bit more serious.

I have thought of this often. but have never done it. It is good to be a foster parent. But I think you have to be a special kind of person.

My sister in law has been a foster parent and she loved it. They have now went on to adopt the one foster child that they have had for two years now.

No, we are not foster parents since I don't think we can afford it financially. I already currently have two kids and another one on the way, and money for us has always been an issue since we do not make so much. But my hats off to those who have been courageous and selfless enough to take on such a challenge.
