Staying together for the children
You hear about a lot of people who decide to stay together forth children even though it is not what they want. What do you think about this idea?

If you are able to get along OK then I think this is acceptable. However, as soon as you start to fight then I think the children would be better off if you lived seperately.

If you mean separating but still living under the same roof, I think it's a bad idea even if you can get along. What happens the first time one of you meets someone you want to bring home? It doesn't bear thinking about.

If you can get along ok, why you would be splitting in the first place is a mystery to me. If not, close that chapter in your lives, be as amicable as possible when it comes to the arrangements for the kids, and move on.

I don't believe this to be true. If two parents cannot be around one another without arguing or fighting then the home isn't a stable or happy environment for the children. Children know when things aren't good and they deserve that goodness in their lives. Better to be with two, but separate parents, who are happy then with two who, together, make a complete mess of things.

I think that it is up to the parents if it is what they feel is best for their kids. It is obvious that they are not thinking only about themselves, and it's good that their children play a huge role in their decision making, I just hope that they can cover it up as long as they go with it.
