| | | To immunise your child or not to immunise this is the question? Well this is a question I am putting forward to get a general over view of how mothers feel about vaccinating their children against disease.
Do you agree with mass immunisation programmes for control of disease or do you think it does more harm than good. Or even do you think it has no effect at all?
Help me with your experiences?

| | | I would still go for the safer side of things, which is to immunize my baby. I don't want to go through health problems with my kid especially when they are still too young to fight off diseases. |

| | | I am having my child immunized. For one thing it is required for later when she attends school. And from the research I have done the benefits still outweigh the potential risks. |

| | | Immunization is best for all kids. So that later on in there life when they start school they have all the shots they need. Its natural to want only the best for your kids when your a parent. Therefore, immunizations do more good then harm from the research that I have done. |

| | | I would get the immunizations. I know the risks are scarey but I feel that they risks are greater to your chlid if you don't. |

| | | Be careful who you get to immunize, if it's some cheap generic stuff you might do more harm then good, and the child will get sick anyway. |

| | | Being a health care professional, I think its really important to have your child immunized. The only exception I can think of is if a sibling or parent had a really untoward reaction to a vaccine.
The diseases that children are vaccinated against are so harmful. Some are deadly.
Almost all children are fussy for a day or two after the shots and may spike a fever -- those are normal, expected reactions -- not something to withhold a vaccine for.
Unless you have really strong religious convictions or a history of vaccine reactions, I can't imagine a reason to not have your children vaccinated. |

| | | My oldest had a reaction to a vaccination. We gave him only a few vaccinations. Then we had titer tests done to see hi immunity.
On our second son, he is vaccinated with only the basic shots. |

| | | Not to immunize your children is complete neglect. How could an individual even consider this? Immunizations are designed to protect your child and the entirity of society. Of course if you have a medical reason then that is a good reason not to. That is the only exception. Citing religious beliefs is complete nonsense because those are your values not your childs. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
