The guys here are advertising the rotavirus and obviously meds/tests like mad for the last couple of weeks. Is this a big or new thing? I've looked on the net but has anyone experienced anything like this with their own babies?

I was lucky that my boys have not had this. But if I am correct it is a nasty stomach bug where they are throwing up and have very bad diareha. Also you really have to watch for dehydration when they have this illness.

I have also heard some about this recently. I have not had any experience with it and my little ones.

There is actually a vaccine available for this. Other then that the best way to prevent the spread is by enforcing proper hand washing procedures.

we dealt with the rotovirus back in February. It was terrible! About the time we thought we were getting over it, it would strike again! Before it was over, my son, myself and my husband all had it. Talk about debilitating!
