Healthy eating.
I really do not think you can go much wrong if you stick to whats below.

Fresh fruit and vegetables, especially citrus fruits and dark green vegetables, which contain folic acid.
Carbohydrates such as bread, pasta, grains, potatoes and cereals.
Lean meat or fish, especially oily fish which has high levels of essential fatty acids - however, some types of fish should be avoided. See below for more information.
Milk and other dairy produce such as yoghurt, fromage frais and cheese - choose lower fat options where possible.

Anyone else got any ideas or reciepes?

I think the problem is not with what you think is right for your kids, but what exactly you can force them to eat.

How many pieces of broccoli can you hide in a Big Mac

The list is basically just the things on the food pyramid that we're supposed to be eating every day. Totally removing something like carbs often just leads to trouble (in my own opinion) so a balanced diet is vital.

It's worth remembering that the acid in citrus fruits can bring on diaper / nappy rash in young ones.

And with that in mind, apple juice can also cause some problems in not only babies, but toddlers as well.

Shoot I have to hide anything that is good for you vegetable wise in my kids food. That is the only way I can get them to eat them. So far it has been working though.

I have been fortunate that my boys love fruits and veggies. I have always made a point of offering them some every meal. Also, remember that it is important to set a good example as a parent and eat the veggies too.

My daughter has always been great with the vegetables, too. I never did anything except put them on the table and she learned it was part of our meal and didn't have any opposite data telling her that some people don't like veggies (or actually didn't have to eat them.)

And yes, setting the example is vital. I'm a good girl and eat my veggies, too.
