| | | How many meals do you give daily? Three meals a day used to be the observed norm, but that has changed. Now there are stories coming out with different numbers as far as when and how often people should eat. The only shared number is that once or twice isn't enough. How often does your family eat? |

| | | We eat three meals a day with snacks in between. Me and the children suffer from low blood sugar and so need to eat every few hours. We have cereal for breakfast and then a fruit snack mid morning, a sandwich and some salad vegetables for lunch and nuts, fruit or oatcakes in the afternoon and then a cooked meal in the evening such as pasta, rice or something with potatoes. In the evening I have an additional snack but the children are in bed then. |

| | | We all eat three times a day but usually it ends up happening in relays. Between activities and work schedule, it's a challenge to coordinate us all sometimes.
I do insist that everyone makes it to the table for our evening meal even if we have to juggle the time of it a little. We can count on all sitting down together as a family at least one meal a day that way and catching up with each other. |

| | | We also eat three meals a day here and snacks in between. I have two sons that right now want to constantly eat. Must be a growing stage. I cannot seem to keep them full. |

| | | I know what you mean, Tater. My son wants to eat constantly. It only seems to make him taller, but not much heavier, so I let him graze through the day in between meals. My daughter doesn't eat much more than three meals with a snack in the afternoon and maybe an evening snack. |

| | | At the moment I tend to only eat 2 meals if that. My daughter eats much more often. I try to give her something to eat every couple of hours even if it is only something small because she needs to put more weight on. She is so tiny and it is difficult getting her to eat so even if I just give her a sandwich, crisps or some cheese as well as her 3 meals a day. As long as I try to get her to eat as much as I can then I am happy. She was born premature and is still so tiny compared with her friends. |

| | | We eat two times a day, I usually wake up very late thus resulting to a brunch and then the next meal would be at dinner time.
This, however, does not apply to both of my children, but only to my own eating habits. Since my daughter is closer to my mother, it is my mother who gives her her meals. |

| | | I reading something interesting about eating and weight maintenance the other day. It said that if you eat out then you probably have a daily calorie allowance in one meal and therefore you should eat =nothing else all day. This made a lot of sense to me but unfortunately because I get low blood sugar, I have to eat regularly. It makes it very hard to maintain a healthy weight. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
