Imagine my suprise when I came home from my last day at the office (just for the Christmas break) to find that my man has gone out and bought 3 months supply of supplements to help us get healthy before we give it a go??!!

Of course I couldn't knock the stupid grin off my face for a while because the whole notion was incredibly sweet & I also want to do everything I possibly can to make sure we have a healthy baby. But just so you understand - I DON'T do well taking pills. He...

Kids cost Money - The first expense

I decided to go to the pharmacy to get my monthly Vitamin B (Neurobian) injection.

I told the nurse (Very friendly lady who we have both known for a while) about the fact that we want to try have kids soon and she whips out a notepad and starts writing out a Christmas list of pills we should both be taking.
Apparently these pills/vitamins reduce the chance of many of the serious and unpleasant illnesses that a kid can get when they are still in the womb (e.g.: down syndrome...

So It Begins ...

Well, the time has come for us to add a few little ones to our family. For all the animal lovers I don't mean pets (have two already).

Yes, you guessed it! Time for Kids!

I must say the concept is more intriguinng that scary at the moment but I'm sure that this will change with time.

What the wife and I have decided that we can not keep putting off starting a family untill our financial/professional lives are at 100% as they probably never will be there...

SO...after much deliberation I decided to broach the topic of kiddies with the man. We're not getting any younger and life doesn't always go as planned, so I figured now is as good a time as any to stop preventative measures.

Boy oh boy did my wonderful husband blow my socks off! Straight after I brought it up he started analysing the situation from start to finish:

can we afford it?
where will baby sleep?
will the baby go on my medical aid or yours?...
